Designed to be much more than just jewelry—it’s a lifestyle.

Hirotaka believes jewelry is highly personal, almost like a tattoo. It’s worn so close to the skin that, in a way, it becomes a part of your whole being.

Hirotaka encourages personal style with conceptual and abstract pieces that accentuate your personality and become an extension of your self.

Mesmerising at first glance, the essence of Hirotaka is how the collection works together offering endless ways to layer earrings, ear cuffs, rings, and necklaces that create original, one-of-a-kind combinations. The love of nature is always an overarching theme. Hirotaka finds beauty in the shapes and silhouettes of the living wonders in the rainforest and deep ocean.

Brand History

Hirotaka launched in Soho, New York with a small trunk show that caught the eye of editors and stylists in 2010. Unexpected minimal yet edgy pieces like sleek pearl ear cuffs and delicate diamond bars quickly gained momentum. Hirotaka is now available worldwide and opened its first flagship store in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo in 2016.

Hirotaka shops are intimate, a space where you can see his creative process and truly understand where the pieces come from. Each boutique has a unique, individual theme created by the in-house Visual Merchandising Team. Designs feature sustainable materials such as coconut fiber, natural stone, hemp oil, amongst others.

Hirotaka has a very organic approach to design, all creations begin with his drawings and sketches.  The collection is handmade by skilled artisans in Japan, where attention to detail is so important and Hirotaka can pursue his pieces in a very delicate, abstract, and minimal Japanese aesthetic.

Designer Profile

Hirotaka's inspiration comes from his love of nature and living creatures.  As a child, Hirotaka was fascinated by metallic beetles, striking gemstones, and strange shaped flowers in the rainforest. Jewelry became the way for Hirotaka to mimic their wonders.

Hirotaka learned the art of classic jewelry making in Paris, falling in love with the poetic styles he studied. He went on to design Haute Joaillerie for a diamond jeweler in Tokyo, giving him a strong foundation for creating high-quality earrings, rings, and necklaces.

In 2007, Hirotaka felt the need to design a collection for how he wears jewelry; signature pieces that accentuate your personality and complement your daily style rather than overwhelm it.

In 2010, he debuted in New York with a small trunk show in Soho. The minimal-yet-edgy style spread by word of mouth among editors and stylists.
